On Sunday 27th September, St Martin-in-the-Fields will once again resound with Gospel Evensong; a distinctive meeting point between the Anglican choral tradition and contemporary gospel worship.
Presented by Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir, this reimagining of sung evensong weaves together scripture, prayer and gospel harmony through original settings, sung psalms and reflective moments of communal worship. The service includes gospel settings of the Magnificat, Nunc Dimittis, Preces and Responses, bringing fresh musical colour to the familiar shape of traditional evensong.
The evening promises an uplifting hour of music, reflection and shared joy beneath the arches of one of London’s most beloved churches.
