The Audition Process
We are always excited to welcome new voices to the Soul Sanctuary family.
Our audition process is warm, straightforward, and structured to help you feel completely comfortable while showing us what your natural voice can do.
Stage One: Initial Vocal Assessment
Send us a quick 60-second audio or video clip of you singing unaccompanied. A simple smartphone recording is perfect – no fancy production or vocal effects needed! We just want to hear your authentic sound to see if it’s a good fit for the choir. We’ll always get back to you with prompt feedback.
Stage Two: Informal Conversation
If stage one goes well, we’ll invite you for a relaxed chat with a senior team member, usually our founder, Miko Giedroyc. This is simply a mutual discovery phase to get to know you, discuss what you want to gain from choir life, and ensure our musical goals align.
Stage Three: In-Person Audition
The final step is a supportive, relaxed session in front of a panel of three choir members. You will sing a short prepared piece, try out a simple vocal blending exercise with the panel, and finish with a brief Q&A. We send full preparation details well in advance so you can arrive feeling confident and ready.
